What’s your favorite family activity in the LaGrange Area ?
My kids would say “walk to Tate’s for ice cream!”
How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
I have four children, a 11-year-old son, and 8, 6 and 4-year old daughters.
How long have you lived in the La Grange Area? What made you decide to live here?
Almost 10 years. We moved from the city to La Grange on St. Patty’s Day 2010 and joined right in on the fun at Palmer’s on move-in day! We narrowed it down to three suburbs centrally located to our family and the city, and hung out on a Saturday at each of the final three contenders. We just loved the energy and “urban suburban” feel of La Grange; that’s what sold us.
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in the LaGrange Area?
It’s so hard to pick just one but if I had to, favorite place to eat would have to be Kama Bistro, and favorite place to shop Jayne!
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I grew up on a farm, with a cow trough as my pool and a junk car hood as my sled.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
Bubbles Academy & Northside Parents Network in Chicago for connecting me with other new moms through mom groups. We didn’t know what we were doing, but we were in it together.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I am passionate about breastfeeding and meeting moms where they are to reach their breastfeeding goals. In 2015, I started VP Lactation Consulting, LLC to serve the western suburbs with breastfeeding support. I offer in-home consultations, typically covered by insurance, and a free monthly support group at the La Grange Library. 
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Mom-to-mom referrals mean the most to me, whether it’s friend-to-friend or local social media. These referrals are what keeps my business thriving and allow me to continue serving this amazing community working with moms and sweet babies doing what I love.
