What’s your favorite family activity in the Hinsdale, Western Springs, La Grange, Clarendon Hills Area?
We are big library nerds and visit the Hinsdale Library weekly. I am in a book club with some other Monroe School moms and we use the library to source our books. My kids love the Playaway audiobooks and check them out often.
How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
I have three: Lyla (11), Kiera (9) and Luca (6)
How long have you lived in the Hinsdale/WS/La Grange/CH Area? What made you decide to live here?
We moved to Hinsdale in August of 2021. I grew up in Hinsdale but my husband Ian and I met while we were living in San Diego, CA where we moved here from. The pandemic caused us to reevaluate our priorities and we started exploring new places we may want to move. Hinsdale is such a great place to live because of the supportive community, it was always at the top of the list.
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in the Hinsdale/WS/La Grange/CH Area?
Fuller House for the giant pretzel (our kid’s favorite), Owl and Lark for lattes and Acai bowls, and Nabuki for sushi. We also frequent Il Mio and love the pizza at Brama La Pizza.
I love to buy fresh flowers at Trader Joes in Downers Grove and I find that Alixandra Collections has great jewelry.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I love travel and adventure and have been shark diving with great whites off the coast of South Africa.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
My husband Ian and I make a great team-he is the yin to my yang. I am also fortunate that my family is here and my group of girlfriends from HCHS are still close–they were a big reason we relocated back to Hinsdale.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
Yes, I am the owner/founder and lead speech-language therapist of Seasons Therapy Group. I am currently providing in-home speech, language and feeding therapy in the child’s home, daycare or preschool. I serve the areas of Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, Oakbrook, LaGrange and Western Springs.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I often feel fortunate to be working with the children in this community as I feel like I am giving back to the community that raised me. As a mom myself, I know that finding good quality care for your child when they are struggling with something is a top priority.
