What’s your favorite family activity in the Hinsdale, Western Springs, LaGrange, Clarendon Hills Area ?
We love being active together so we spend the majority of our time at our club, Ruth Lake, playing tennis, paddle, swimming and golfing as a family.
How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
I have two kids, ages 8 and 6 that attend Monroe Elementary.
How long have you lived in the Hinsdale/WS/LaGrange/CH Area? What made you decide to live here?
We have lived in Hinsdale for 6 years. We loved its quaint downtown, unique shops and restaurants. It’s suburban, but still lively and active! There’s always an event happening that keeps us engaged and social in the community.
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in the Hinsdale/WS/LaGrange/CH Area?
Being a stylist, I shop quite a bit (for myself and others!). I adore the boutiques in Hinsdale and definitely prefer to shop local. My favorites include Lepa, Sweet William and RedE Mas. The customer service is unbelievable. I would so much rather browse their stores than go into a black hole on a retailer’s site any day!
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
One of the biggest misconceptions about working with a stylist is that they will need to spend a ton of money to achieve their desired look. It couldn’t be farther from the truth! I personally loathe spending money on clothes that will go out of style in a season or two. I encourage clients to spend money on great investment pieces like bags, shoes and solid basics and weave in less expensive trendier pieces.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
Parenthood is one of those things that no one can prepare you for. I imagined something completely different; I never expected to have this much fun! The moms I surround myself with in Hinsdale are similar – we want to raise intelligent, well-rounded, grateful children, but we also want to have fun doing it! We all know how difficult it can be on a daily basis, so we do little things to help one another. This is definitely what gets me through the more challenging parental moments – a funny text, a night out to unwind or even help with a carpool. Even little things make a difference.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The community has been extremely supportive of my business! My local clients are great ambassadors and definitely plug my work and their experience with me, which is the best possible PR! The local boutiques have also been especially accommodating by allowing me to host client events in store, placing special orders for my clients and providing exceptional customer service. Finally, several of the local magazine publications have given me space to write about and showcase my style predictions on trends, etc. All of this organic growth adds up to best practices that build a reputable brand! I am beyond appreciative!
