We love to take walks to downtown Hinsdale. Stop by all our favorite local shops/restaurants and enjoy a little downtime from our hectic lives!

We have three girls:

How long have you lived in the Hinsdale/WS/La Grange/CH Area? What made you decide to live here?
We have lived in Hinsdale for about ten years. We moved here because of the schools, ease to downtown (as we both commute downtown for work) and the kid friendly atmosphere. No one looks at you if one of your kids is having a meltdown in the middle of dinner!
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in the Hinsdale/WS/La Grange/CH Area?
We love Altamura Pizza, Fuller House and Wild Ginger!
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I am from New York City, but have been living in Chicago/Hinsdale for almost 20 years!
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
Our nanny and Addy’s therapists. Without them, I could not do what I do each and every day!

As some are aware, I just launched Raising Addy, a place to learn, share ideas and support parents of special needs children. Raising Addy as well as Alex and Andi (my three daughters) is a true blessing. Within the special needs community, much of the information and resources is fragmented. My vision was to create a consolidated, comprehensive location for sharing what I, and others have learned and continue to learn, along this unpredictable journey. My hope in creating Raising Addy is to not only provide resources and inspiration for other parents/caregivers, but to also help cope with the ups and downs of raising a special needs child in addition to other responsibilities each of us have. This community has accepted us for who we are, and who Addy is. I can’t thank this community enough!
