What’s your favorite family activity in the Hinsdale, Western Springs, La Grange, Clarendon Hills Area?
Enjoying our outdoors. Going to fun area festivals. Our towns offer so much to do from restaurants to parks and family events.
How many children do you have and what are their age(s)?
I have two daughters, ages 22 and 20.
How long have you lived in the Hinsdale/WS/La Grange/CH Area? What made you decide to live here?
I’ve lived here 35 years. When I graduated with my masters degree, I moved to Clarendon Hills. We now live in Hinsdale in Fullersburg Woods and absolutely cherish our town.
Where’s your favorite place to eat and/or shop in the Hinsdale/WS/La Grange/CH Area?
Il Poggiolo, Nabuki and Fuller House 🙂 We love supporting our local owners.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I love to play Pac-Man, lol!

I’m the owner of Hummingbird Pediatric Therapies, with locations in Westmont and Woodridge. I am passionate about helping children and families. Hummingbird helps kids of ALL developmental stages from picky eating to speech delays. We offer speech, feeding, occupational and physical therapy, a Children’s Academy for kids ages 2-7, pediatric counseling and so much more.
I am also a Trustee on the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation Board. Being a two-time
cancer survivor, I am grateful to all the doctors and nurses at EMH who made it possible for me to
continue my passion in helping children.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
It takes a Village and Hinsdale is one of the best. I love to see all the parents rally to help neighbors in need.
What do you want parents to know about pediatric therapy?
The early years of a child’s life are critical for establishing the learning skills such as working through big feelings and developing friendships. Our Children’s Academy is for kids ages 2-7. It serves as a preschool for littles or complements kids’ current school placement. From playing in our brightly colored gyms, cooking classes, building language, gross and fine motor skills, and learning how to be a good friend, our team of therapists make every day at the Academy an exciting adventure for kiddos.
Any upcoming events?
We are hosting a Hummingbird Children’s Academy open house on November 17th from 6:30-8pm. Parents can come by with their kids, learn about our Academy, tour our facility, and talk with other Hummingbird parents about their experiences.
